Why is the research being conducted?
This research is part of a project between Griffith University and Australasian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI). The aim of the project is to get an up-to-date understanding of the state of supply chains in Australasia. At organisation and company level, the research findings will help organisations and companies to better understand the status quo of their supply chains; and use the findings to benchmark their supply chain management practices with other organisations and companies. At national level, the findings will provide insights into the trends and challenges across the region so that policies could be adjusted/introduced to make supply chains more efficient and resilient.
What you will be asked to do?
You will complete an online anonymous survey about your view on the state of supply chains for your organisation/company. It is estimated this will take up to 30 minutes. You are encouraged to save a copy of your own response so that you can then benchmark with the report findings.
Who will be participating?
All professionals working in the logistics and supply chain management field in the Australasian region are welcomed to participate in this study. Members of the ASCI will be directly invited to participate.
The expected benefits of the research
The survey questionnaire could be used as a diagnostic tool for you to gauge the state of supply chain of your organisation or company across several dimensions, including supply chain design, operations, information technology, and supply chain finance. The report findings will provide an aggregated picture of the state of supply chains across major industry sectors, which in turn could be used as a benchmark for your organisation or company.
Risks to you:
There are no foreseeable risks associated with participation in this research.
Your confidentiality
No identifying information will be used in reports of the findings. The data that you provide to the researchers will be confidential and at no point will you be identifiable. All responses given in the questionnaires will remain confidential. The data from the questionnaires will be stored securely and retained for 5 years, after which time it will be destroyed.
Your participation is voluntary
Your participation in this research is completely voluntary. Your consent to participate in the online survey will be taken as completion and submission of the questionnaire. Prior to the submission of the questionnaire, you can terminate and withdraw from the survey at any time. Due to the anonymous nature of the survey, once your response is submitted, you will not be able to withdraw from the survey.
Your decision to take part/not take part in the survey, will not affect your relationship/job with the Australasian Supply Chain Institute (ASCI).
Communication of results
The data collected will be used to compile a report on the state of supply chains, which will be published by the ASCI.
Academic peer reviewed conference and/or journal papers may be produced as part of this research. At no time will the communication of results refer directly to participants in relation to specific findings of the research.
Lucky draw
As a thank you for participation, you can choose to enter a prize draw to win one of five conference passes to the ASCI Supply Chain Sustainability Series 2024, valued at over $500 each. The full list of terms and conditions for the prize draw is included in the participant lucky draw information sheet.
